Some of you might have heard that today was the NHL trade deadline. Unfortunately, your Philadelphia Flyers did not make a big splash by picking up anyone of consequence. In fact, the biggest move they made was done to shed salary by trading Scotty Upshall for tough guy Dan Cardillo of Phoenix. I was pretty upset by the deal as I grew fond of Upshall over the last couple years as he is the just the type of agitator that I really enjoy watching, but he had a large degree of skill and speed that you rarely see in players in his role. From all reports, Cardillo does not play the same sort of game and will mainly seve in the tough guy gole.
In any event, I was upset about the trade until I saw this film clip:
Now, I'm totally onboard with this deal.

So he can fight. He got off a lucky shot. I'm still not too happy with the trade.

I will now go on record and say that this trade has been a complete abomination. Carcillo sucks big time.
