In Case You Missed It

Rutgers destroyed K State on Thursday night, 37-10, for their first bowl victory in school history.

With 13 starters returing, including Heisman candidate Ray Rice and 2006 All America DT, Eric Foster, and 8 home games, RU should be more than a one year wonder.

There's plenty of room on the bandwagon, NJ residents. Get on board.

Rutgers is a North Jersey-New York thing.

I know you are old fashioned and slow to adapt, but times are a changing. RU is a New Jersey thing, located smack dab in the middle of the state. It's ok for both halves of the state to care about the same team.

Plus, the South Jersey/Philly media is all over the RU story now that they are winning. I saw many RU segments on Comcast Sportsnight this season. Even the Communist Post covered most of the games this year, including the Bowl Game and the lead up.

RU is the closest Div IA Football program to Philly...unless you count Temple...I don't. They have picked a great time to become a Top 15 team. Plus, it doesn't hurt that they are getting a lot more So. Jersey kids than they have in years past. In fact, a kid from your hometown will be one of the stars of the team the next 3 years. They also nabbed the SJ defensive player of the year.

In any event, I think you must be getting jealous that your Hawks and their media whore coach aren't in the spotlight anymore. It's ok to share the attention, my friend.

2007 is going to be awesome. Rice is going to be a legit heisman candidate all year.

Come on PSP, let's get real. Anything north of Trenton is North Jersey. I might as well root for the New Jersey Devils while I am at it.

I guess you consider most of Bucks County a NY market then.

There are three portions of NJ.

North: Exits 12 to 18
Central: Exits 6 to 11
South: Exits 5 to 1

There you go. No debate on that one, bro.
