The Guy With The Ten Cent Head No Longer Has A Million Dollar Arm

It used to not be such a big deal that Brett Myers was a complete head case because he had a pretty good arm that would help pull his ass out of the fire. After moving back into the starting rotation this year, that arm, which had served him so well in years past, has seemed to abandon him. Tonight, he gave up gopher ball after gopher ball to the Braves on his way to picking up another loss. His pitching line tonight: eight runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings. That line is plain old UGLY.

It sure seems that Myers hasn't changed his mindset from being a closer to being a starter again. His velocity is down and he's giving up home runs at an alarming rate. Myers better pull his head out of his ass because this team desperately needs him. There is no way this team can compete without him or someone else to fill the #2 starter role behind Cole Hamels.

On the bright side, at least he didn't rip the fans for booing him. He at least understands that he sucks right now.

Are they hiding an injury with this guy? If so, then he should go on the DL because anybody else would be better than him right now. If not, then the coaches better get him straightned out fast.

he was hitting 92 on the gun. the problem last nite, he was throwing knee high fastballs that were straight as an arrow. the pitch to Chipper wasnt' too terrible, he needs to get movement back on his heater and throw up and in every now and again. the fact he didnt' dust anyone after the 2nd HR is a shame. he had his share of K's. Dont quit on him on May 14th. You pussys.
