That's all I can say. I am so friggin' pissed off right now. (Yes, angry PSP is back.) It was so damn convenient that they suspended this game right after Tampa tied the game.
I just want this friggin thing over. I can't believe this. I think we all wanted some sort of resolution and now we have to wait. The problem is, no one knows when this is going to start again because tomorrow is supposed to be worse.
I'm watching Comcast right now and apparently the players are PISSED. They thought the game should have been suspended earlier. I have to agree with them. The top of the 6th was not baseball. It was a total farce. That was not baseball.
In any event, they have to pull it back together and get ready to play 3.5 innings. Hopefully, this galvanizes both the players and the fans and get us over the top. Maybe this is a case of God blessing those who wait and He wants us to wait a least another day.
It's just killing me. Absolutely killing me.

This is a Disgrace... I think Bud Seilig was drunk last night (Find the Video). How? Why? as I am writing this Im fighting back tears.

well my major complaint about the whole thing is, why did they play the top of the 6th and not the bottom half? The weather or field wasn't any worse so our pitcher and fielders had to play through the worst of it and now when they return to play the game, the Rays get a nice dry and better field. Let them have to go through that crap for one half inning and things are fair. The way things are now, it isn't fair. They should start the game from the end of the 5th inning and make it fair for both teams.
Other than that, why is with Selig changing baseball rules during a rain delay of the World Series? He basically said that even if the Phillies were winning, he would have just suspended the game. Ummm...last time I checked after a certain amount of innings and the game is called, that is an offical game. I agree that the WS shouldn't be determined by that, but those are the rules and shouldn't be changed on a whim. This isn't the All Star game, Bud.
Anyway, now that I got all of that out, I am more calm, just more upset that this is being prolonged and not finished. *sigh*

So, now that I got that off my chest, I still come to realize that we, the fans, have been robbed of "the moment". The nine innings leading up to the inevitable....Kid Cole on the mound, taking us to the Promised Land...Brad Lidge coming in a 2-1 game to record the Championship Clinching Save...okay, we still have a chance, but last night was special...and baseball, no...Bud fucking Selig, took that from us.

OK, I'm good with starting the game despite the weather. I'm also ok with the game being suspended rather than having the World Series end on a partial game (and having to listen to stinkin' Mets fans minimize the championship all year). My problem is forcing Hamels to pitch in that slop. Now I'm no conspiracy theorist, but something's up...

and while I'm at it, Fox's coverage totally blows too. I'm sick of the same commercials. I'm sick of coming back to action as the first pitch is being thrown. I'm sick of not seeing who threw out the first pitch. And last, but not least...I'm sick of Tim McCarver. Dude, you PLAYED for the Phillies, asshole!! Your obviously bitter about not being here for the 1980 championship, but come on, you sucked, and are even worse in the broadcast booth.

Phan, I know that I am a lone voice here but I think the suspension was good for the Phils. The guys were playing tight and swinging at everything. Our hitting was off and clearly our fielding was suffering. I think this will give them the chance to relax, loosen up and close this thing down tomorrow night.

Bove, I'm with you about the commercials. If I have to see that "This is crazy, this is crazy, this is crazy" Direct TV commercial w/ Christie Brinkely, I might go effing crazy! The biggest thing I agree w/ you about is that this game took away Cole's shot at becoming an absolute legend. His postseason performance would be right up there with Hershiser, Schill, Randy Johnson, and Josh Beckett.
Voegs, your pep talk at lunch today totally has me on the positive side. I'm going to get a post up tonight that will reflect that.
