I didn't think it was possible for an entire team to not show up for a single football game, but the Birds proved me wrong. The entire team seemed uninterested from pre-game introductions until the final gun. I can't say a single good thing about anyone's performance yesterday except my favorite red headed Latino, Jeff Garcia, who seemed to do a good job holding the clipboard on the sideline. These guys should be embarrassed with how they performed in a game that was absolutely necessary to get the team back on track heading into the bye.
Rich Hoffman in today's Daily News makes a good point. It really seems that this team is starting to tune out Big Red. Or quite possibly, Andy was too distraught this week by the firing of fellow brotherhood in flab, Ken Hitchcock, to come up with a decent game plan or motivate his team to play a must win game. On the bright side, maybe the Philadelphia Soul will hire Mark Mangino of Kansas University to give Andy a new confidante with whom he can discuss the rigors of coaching in our fair city.
I don't know where to go with this team. Are they as bad as they looked Sunday and for long stretches the prior two weeks or are they the team that dominated the Giants for 3 quarters and beat the Cowboys? I'm starting to think what we see is what we're going to get...a Jekyll and Hyde team that will probably not make the playoffs.
Excuse me, but the performance and outlook of our Philly teams makes me just want to set myself on fire.

I totally agree that this winter could be horrendous. NASCAR is over in three weeks. After that is when I usually tune in to some Eagles games if there is no good golf on at the same time. So it figures that they stink now too. What the @!#$ is wrong with them? The games won't even be worth watching in another month. St. Joe's basketball isn't projected to have a good season with all of their youth, and I didn't get the Center Ice package due to the increased high cost this year. What am I going to do?
