Since We Have Little Else To Look Forward To

When your football team doesn't make the playoffs, is there anything to get excited about, but the draft and free agency? Now that the date for Juniors to declare for the draft has come and passed, the mock drafts are starting to trickle in. I caught this mock draft today on ESPN.com and I'd be fine with this pick:

19. Philadelphia Eagles
Record: 9-7
Biggest needs: OT, S, WR, LB, TE
Projected pick: Malcolm Kelly*, WR, Oklahoma
Current Eagles OTs Jon Runyan and William Thomas aren't getting any younger, so Jeffrey Otah (Pittsburgh) and Michael Oher (Mississippi) are possibilities here. However, the Eagles are still in search of a big-play threat at wide receiver and Kelly could finally be the answer. Unlike most big receivers, he's a smooth route-runner who knows how to separate from man-to-man coverage. Kelly also might have the strongest hands of any receiver in this year's class.
A big play threat at WR? I think we could live with that. Here's some of his highlights from last season.

How much can you trust a mock draft guy when he doesnt even get the Birds' record right?

Yea and rookies never see the field. we need a FA and a rookie WR and fast.

kid has nice size, catches the ball at its highest point, has good separation, and lives over the middle. Shows good core strenth and is quick more than fast.

i could write for one of those bs reports.....
