The Beginning Of The End

With today's comments, Sam McNabb has now crossed the line from protective father to Carl Lindros territory. Based upon his thoughts, I don't see Eric...er I mean, Donovan McNabb's career ending on a positive note here in Philly. As we saw with the "black on black crime" comments, Sam is Donovan's mouth piece when D Mac doesn't want to be attached to a potentially controversial statement. Anyhow, here is the article and here is the most troubling statement:

"I'm not concerned about [the decision to spend the first pick on Kolb]. My son works for the Philadelphia Eagles right now and when he doesn't any longer, there are 31 other NFL teams he can play for."
Clearly, it's only a matter of time before this situation ends badly. Unfortunately, we've become experts in how a relationship between franchise player and organization can melt down in a blink of an eye. We've seen it with Randall, Scott Rolen, Curt Schilling, Charles Barkley, AI, Eric Lindros and most famously with T.O. At this rate, should we just pencil in Ryan Howard for the year 2011 to be the next star to be chased out of town?

Is it me or have we taken the whole "lions eating their young" to a whole new level? We are getting way too good at this.
