Flyers Can't Win For Losing

I realize that no one cares, but the Flyers lost the lottery today. They were the worst team in hockey this year by 11 points, but that wasn't good enough to coral the first pick. The Orange & Black are stuck with the second pick this year, which isn't the end of the world since there are no Sidney Crosbys or Alexander Ovechkins available. By all accounts, the top draft prospects this year won't be ready to contribute for a couple of seasons.

This is just more evidence of how we can't catch a break in this city. At this point, our failures are no longer surprising me, no matter how absurd they are. Was anyone surprised by the 7 run 8th inning yesterday? Didn't think so.

I just knew it wouldn't pan out for the Flyers.
