Bye, Bye, Barbaro

R.I.P. Barbaro (2003-2007)
It's a shame that the poor horse died, but at least we have closure on one of the two totally annoying local sports stories that have plagued us for the past six months.

Hopefully, the Flyers trade or re-sign Peter Forsberg in the next week or so to bring an end to the other stale, beat to death story line.

Wait a second, if that happens, what will I f'n write about before football free agency starts???

Annoying, a horse is injured and in a sport where its all about the money, a local owner goes above and beyond to try to save the horses life and you call it annoying.

I'll tell you what's annoying, a $50Million dollar hockey puck with a mysterious foot injury. Atleast the horse broke three bones in his bad leg and developed infection in his other. What does Forsberg have a hang nail?

Atleast the horse gave us 2 minutes of memory in winning the '06 derby by the biggest margin in 70 years. What has piece of crap peter provided in his term in Phila. I gotta hear about a boot, a groin. He's worse than half the elderly in the sports rehab at the Villages after the allstar softball game.

You can talk about Tony Jr. and his future stellar career at Highland, RU and the Eagles!

Good point, Muller...A story regarding whether to raise my kid a Philly Sports Phan and subject him to this misery is coming

Yo Capt...come on...you weren't annoyed by the whole saga? The Forsberg thing is just as bad...I wish he'd just agree to be traded so we can move on...I'm done w/ the foot/skate/groin trifecta...It's driving me crazy. Anyhow...I know what might get you back on board w/ hockey...apparently one of the guys the flyers might draft is named Angelo Esposito...you love paisans.

Thank God I don't have to hear about this f'in horse anymore. It is a horse, not a person. How many times was a frickin' animal our top news story? Totally annoying. Anybody with a brain knows that the only reason those owners wanted to save that horse was to receive millions in stud fees. Any other marginal horse would have been put out of its misery on the same day. The future money was the motivating factor to try to save the horse, don't get all caught up in this compassionate owner BS.
