My Wish To Come True? Brian Leonard in Green?

From the Trenton Times:

The Eagles need a big back to compliment Westbrook and this space reported weeks ago that Reid likes Rutgers fullback Brian Leonard, a 235-pounder with great hands. It might take a second-round pick to land him, however.
Can it be? Can it possibly be??? Andy Reid is enamored with Brian Leonard!!!! Over the last couple years, whenever Reid has fallen in love with a player, they've done all they can to move up and select the guy. I hope and pray it happens this year and Leonard lands with the Birds.

Trust me. You guys will not be disappointed. I also will go out on a limb and predict that if he is drafted by the Birds, his jersey will be right up there with McNabb, Dawk and B West as the most purchased.

Yeah, yeah...I know they need defense and won't have either a third or fourth round pick, but I hope this works out one way or another.

Below is an item you may have missed about dear ol' RU, at least at PSU we can afford to give our coaches a raise without firing the grounds keeper. NICE SCHOOL:

Lest anyone think we don’t live in the United States of Football. Rutgers University gave handsome raises (and nice annual car stipends, too) to nine of head football coach Greg Schiano’s assistants, despite the elimination of 825 jobs, and 459 course selections at the school.

Granted, the Scarlet Knights posted an unexpected 11-2 season in 2006 - earning their first national ranking in 30 years - prompting a nice bump in season ticket sales for 2007. But when the state of New Jersey is cutting nearly $80 million in aid to the university, you have to wonder who’s advising the Rutgers brass on this decision, offensive coordinator Craig Ver Steeg?

FYI, it has never happend as PSU. Joe Pa and his staff routinely give large portions of their salaries BACK to the university. He built a library for god sakes, PSU also has THE LARGEST dues paying alumni association in the nation (153,000),it also boast an endownment fund of 1,231,300,000 (yes, that is a BILLION). RU's endowment $496,292,000. Hence the reason I can be holier than thou, especially in comparision to RU.
