Phils Return Home...Predictably Lose

Christ, you can set your watch to this group of Phils. As soon as they start to gain some momentum, get over .500, and the home crowd can begin to feel some excitement, the Phils drop their first game to the D'Backs upon returning from a road trip.

Yeah, they had a chance to tie the game in the 9th before the useless Rod Barajas flew out to right, but they did not deserve to win the game.

My buddy George pegged this team perfectly. They cannot deal with expectations. The second there is any sort of expectations, they completely under-perform. I think we have a team of mental midgets. Sure, the lack of talent in certain spots helps their lack of performance, but this group really needs to find a way to deal with the pressure of expectations better. Perhaps, this team needs to hire a Shrink.

In any event, I wish I gambled. This would be an easy game to wager on. Based on past history, it is not surprising they lost.

By the way, our prized offseason addition, Freddy Garcia, is now 1-4 with a 4.59 ERA. We're not getting what we need from him. Would anyone be shocked to see this free agent to be traded? I wouldn't.
