The Phils' Version of Dave Spadaro

Check out the lead today in Marcus Hayes' game story:

THEY MIGHT lose, but they never quit. The Phillies came 10 feet short of stealing a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks last night in a 5-4 loss.
Excuse me, but I think I'm going to puke. Christ, why doesn't Marcus just let Wheels, Scott Palmer or Dave Montgomery write his next article.

When did Marcus Hayes become such a schill for this organization? This is the same paper that gives you Bill Conlin whom questions every little thing the Phils do. This story lead is a kick to the nuts to the reputation the Daily News has developed over the years as an objective paper with reporters that aren't afraid to take tough positions or ask the difficult questions.

Or, maybe he is just antagonizing the scores of negative Phillie phans like myself. If he is doing that, I give him credit, but I think he's been swallowed up by the franchise and has become the Phils' Spadaro.

Big Bill Conlin needs to sit this guy and tell him how it should be. We deserve better.

Although i didn't read his article and am not a phan of Marcus, this team does not quit. Hobbs hits a 3 run bomb that wins the game if its not for Mr. Madsen giving up 2 runs in the top of the ninth. 5-1 they coulda thrown in the towel, but they didn't and staged a come back against on of the best relievers in the NL this year.

I think he is receiving a paycheck from the Phillies. This is the same guy who infuriated Marzano with his support of Abreu.
